The year is 1860. 

 

You have just received a royal invitation to spend an evening

 celebrating the annual “Twelfth Night Gala”

which is the pinnacle of the holiday season on January 9th 2010

with Her Royal Majesty, Queen Victoria, HRH The Prince Consort, Albert.

 

This year we are honoring Nathaniel Currier and James Merritt Ives of

Currier & Ives, the famous art firm that produced more than

seven thousand original works of art between 1834 and 1907.

 

This festive event is being held at the historic Triune Masonic Lodge,
which is located at 1898 Iglehart Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55104.

The evening will start with the a gathering in the Parlour and Library

for a Reception and the Traditional Twelfth Night Cake.

Out guests of honor will be presented to H.R.M. Victoria.

 

At 7:00 the Ballroom doors will open and guests will be heralded in.

Once everyone is assembled we will start our formal dance with the Grand March

To the live music of The Camptown Ladies, a quartet of very talented musicians,

Who specialize in historic music ranging from early Victorian to Rag-Time.

 

After the first dance set, we will promenade into the formal Dining Room

for a Full British Holiday Dinner featuring Roasted Fowl and Plum Pudding,

along with a couple of German dishes to pay homage to the Royal family.

 

After Dinner we will continue to dance until night turns to morning.

Parlour games will be available in the Library throughout the evening.

 

As with all of our events, Victorian Dress is always Admired, but Not Required.

If you care to wear a Victorian era Ball Gown or Dress, please do so.

Modern Evening Attire is warmly received as well.

 

The price per ticket is $45.00 for members of the VSA & $55.00 for guests

Tickets are extremely limited and normally sell very fast.
Please register early to ensure ticket availability for this grand event.

 

The tickets include the Dance Lesson,  Grand Reception,

Gourmet Sit-Down Victorian Dinner with Traditional Twelfth Night Customs,

and an evening filled with Victorian Ballroom Dancing to Live Music.

 

We are offing complimentary Victorian era dance instructions to all tickets holders,

On Friday evening, January 8th from 7 to 9 o’clock.

We will focus on teaching Waltz, Polka and Schottische during this session.

The Called Dances will all be taught on the next evening, during the Ball.

No dance partner is needed.  Come by yourself or bring a friend. 

 

Please arrive to the Twelfth Night Gala on Saturday, January 9th 2010

between 5.30 o'clock and 6 o'clock to have plenty of time

to leave your things with the Butler and check in with the Hostesses.
